Interest Rate in North Macedonia
North Macedonia - Interest RateEconomic growth accelerated in the third quarter, chiefly boosted by a sharp rebound in total investment. An improving business climate, renewed investor confidence following the resolution of the political dispute with Greece and stronger construction activity likely contributed to the investment recovery. Conversely, private consumption moderated in Q3, while the external sector dragged on growth. The economy should have sustained momentum in Q4, thanks to a strengthening tourism sector. Even so, industrial output weakened in October-November. In other news, in mid-December Fitch Ratings affirmed North Macedonia’s BB+ credit rating and stable outlook, touting the country’s sound banking sector and supportive macroeconomic policies.
