GDP growth records slowest increase since Q4 2022 in the third quarter
According to a preliminary estimate, GDP growth lost momentum in the third quarter, falling to 4.7% year on year from 5.3% in the second quarter. Q3's reading marked the worst result since Q4 2022.
All sectors of the economy contributed similarly to growth in the first three quarters as they had in the first two. The primary drivers of growth were the wholesale and retail trade, industry, and construction sectors. A more detailed release is scheduled for 28 December.
