Exports in Poland

Poland - Exports
Momentum likely cooled considerably in the first quarter, as supply bottlenecks and soaring inflation—made worse by the outbreak of the Ukraine war—weighed on the economy. Although retail sales expanded strongly, consumer confidence soured in Q1, which, coupled with strong inflationary pressures, suggests moderate household spending. Moreover, business sentiment weakened, pointing to slowing dynamics, although PMI readings remained comfortably in expansionary terrain. Moving to Q2, Russia’s Gazprom suspended all gas supply to the country in late April, although the country’s large gas stocks should keep supply largely stable. Moreover, on 20 April, Moody’s affirmed the country’s A2 credit rating with a stable outlook, noting the country’s resilient economy and strong institutional framework.Poland - Exports Data
