In March, the number of unemployed workers came in at 18,689, which was down 4.0% from February’s result of 19,476. Meanwhile, the seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate came in at 6.5% in March, matching February’s result.
FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists project the unemployment rate to average 6.4% in 2021, which is unchanged from last month’s forecast, and 6.0% in 2022.
