Vietnam: Inflation remains stable in August
Latest reading: Inflation came in at 3.2% in August, unchanged from July’s figure. Looking at the details of the release, prices for food plus housing and utilities rose at a more moderate pace. In contrast, prices for transportation declined at a less pronounced pace.
In addition, the trend was unchanged, with annual average inflation stable at July’s 3.1% in August.
Finally, consumer prices increased 0.05% over the previous month in August, coming in below July’s 0.11% increase. August’s result marked the weakest reading since March.
