Ukraine: Industrial output contracts again in February
According to data released by the Statistical Institute, industrial production fell 1.8% year-on-year in February, compared to a 3.3% drop in January. The result marked the fourth consecutive month of falling industrial output and reflected lower manufacturing production and a contraction in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply sector, which more than offset an increase in mining and quarrying output.
Meanwhile, annual average growth in industrial output moderated to 0.7% in February from 1.1% in January, marking an over one-year low.
