Turkey: Economic sentiment rises in September
Latest reading: Economic sentiment went up to 98.5 in September, following August’s 98.2. However, the reading was still below the long-term average of 100.
In September, sentiment brightened in the construction sector (-11.7 vs -14.7 in August), the services sector (+20.9 vs +20.0 in August) and the retail sector (+11.4 vs +10.8 in August). In contrast, sentiment darkened among consumers (-16.2 vs -15.9 in August). Sentiment in the industrial sector was unchanged from August at -1.5.
