Turkey: Consumer confidence tumbles in April

April 23, 2021

Consumer confidence fell to 80.2 in April from March's 86.7. As a result, the index remained below the 100-threshold, separating pessimism from optimism among consumers.

April's downturn was driven by consumers’ more pessimistic views regarding their future financial situation, the general economic climate and the labor market outlook.
