Turkey: Business confidence improves to near three-year high in January
Business confidence rose to a 32-month high of 107.0 in January from December’s 106.8. As such, the index moved further above the 100-threshold, as optimism among businesses grew.
The rise came on the back of an improvement in firms views of the general business situation and expected output and employment in the next three months. However, the headline print was weighed on by easing sentiment regarding total amount of orders in the past three months and export orders expected in the next three months; however, both sub-indicators remained in positive territory.
