Turkey Business Confidence July 2022

Turkey: Business confidence decreases but remains optimistic in July

July 25, 2022

Business confidence came in at 103.7 in July, down from June's 106.4. July's result marked the weakest sentiment since July 2020. Consequently, the index remained above the 100-threshold, signaling sustained optimism among businesses.

The headline print reflected a deterioration in firms' views of current order books and more pessimism regarding the general business situation.

FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists expect fixed investment to increase 0.9% in 2022, which is unchanged from last month’s forecast, and to expand 3.8% in 2023.
