Thailand: Merchandise exports increase at a softer rate in June
Latest reading: Merchandise exports grew 16.0% over the same month last year in June (May: +18.5% year-on-year). Meanwhile, merchandise imports climbed 13.7% over the same month last year in June (May: +19.3% yoy).
As a result, the merchandise trade balance deteriorated from the previous month, recording a USD 3.3 billion surplus in June (May 2025: USD 3.4 billion surplus; June 2024: USD 2.4 billion surplus). Lastly, the trend pointed up, with the 12-month trailing merchandise trade balance recording a USD 24.6 billion surplus in June, compared to the USD 23.7 billion surplus in May.
