Thailand: Manufacturing production rebounds in September
Latest reading: Manufacturing production was up 1.0% in annual terms in September, following a 4.4% decline in the prior month.
Relative to the previous month’s data, production in September improved of food products (-1.9% on a year-on-year basis vs -5.6% in August), automotive vehicles (+6.0% vs -8.0% in August), chemical products (+1.5% vs -4.2% in August) and refined petroleum products (+3.6% vs -8.0% in August). In contrast, the output of computer and electronic products worsened in September (+5.0% vs +10.0% in August).
On a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis, manufacturing output was up 3.3% in September, following a 2.2% decline in the previous month.
