Sweden: Industrial production recovers in August
Latest reading: Industrial production—excluding energy— increased 5.3% on a calendar and seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis in August, following a 6.9% decline in the prior month.
Relative to the previous month’s figures, readings in August improved for manufacturing (+5.0% on a calendar and seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis vs -6.4% in July) and mining (+3.8% vs -9.4% in July).
On a working day adjusted year-on-year basis, industrial production rose 10.9% in August, following a 4.2% increase in the prior month.
