Spain: Economic sentiment falls in June
Latest reading: Economic sentiment decreased to 102.0 in June from May’s 103.4. That said, the index remained above the long-term average of 100, pointing to a positive near-term outlook for the economy.
According to available data, the deterioration was driven by weaker confidence in the construction sector. Moreover, sentiment in the industrial sector declined.
Considering indicators that are not used to calculate the index, employment expectations strengthened, while the economic uncertainty index fell in June.
