Slovenia: Harmonized inflation drops in May
Latest reading: Harmonized inflation came in at 1.9% in May, which was down from April’s 2.3%. May’s figure represented the weakest inflation rate since November 2024. The decline was broad-based, with reduced price pressures recorded for food and non-alcoholic beverages, transportation, and housing and utilities.
Annual average harmonized inflation remained at April’s 1.6% in May. Meanwhile, consumer price inflation fell to 1.8% in May from the previous month’s 2.3%.
Finally, harmonized consumer prices fell 0.10% from the previous month in May, swinging from April’s 0.80% rise. May’s result marked the weakest reading since January.
