Slovenia: Inflation rises in August from the prior month
Latest reading: Harmonized consumer prices rose 3.0% in annual terms in August, following a 2.9% rise in the previous month.
There were milder price pressures for food and non-alcoholic beverages (+7.7% vs +7.9% in July), transportation (-1.8% vs -0.4% in July), housing and utilities (0.0% vs +0.2% in July) and restaurants and hotels (+5.9% vs +6.4% in July). Finally, the variation in recreation prices was the same as in the prior month (+2.1% in August and July).
Meanwhile, consumer prices rose 3.0% in annual terms in August, following a 2.8% rise in the prior month.
Finally, harmonized consumer prices were stable in August in month-on-month terms, following a 0.30% increase in the prior month.
