Slovenia: Inflation remains steady in November

Consumer prices rose 0.1% over the previous month in November, matching October’s month-on-month result. Higher prices for clothing and footwear, along with furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance led the upturn, while prices for restaurants and hotels declined the most.

Similarly, inflation came in at 1.4% in November, mirroring October’s print. Meanwhile, harmonized inflation inched down to 1.4% in November from 1.5% in October. Lastly, annual average harmonized inflation slid to 1.6% from 1.7% in October.

The Central Bank expects harmonized inflation to average 2.0% in both 2020 and 2021. FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast participants project it averaging 1.8% in 2020, which is unchanged from last month’s estimate, and 2.0% in 2021.
