Slovenia: Industrial activity falls at sharper pace in June
Latest reading: Industrial output dropped 4.3% compared to the same month of the previous year in June (May: -0.2 yoy), marking the fifth consecutive month of contraction. The reading reflected a broad-based downturn across the major sectors, with manufacturing, mining and quarrying plus energy supply, all contracting at steeper paces.
On a monthly basis, industrial output dropped 0.1% in seasonally adjusted terms in June, which was below May’s 0.5% expansion. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 0.5%, down from May’s minus 0.2%.
