Slovakia: Harmonized inflation stabilizes in July
Latest reading: Harmonized inflation came in at 4.6% in July, unchanged from June’s figure. Looking at the details of the release, the reading was driven by rising prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages and housing and utilities. Conversely, price pressures for transport eased.
Still, the trend pointed up slightly, with annual average harmonized inflation coming in at 3.9% in July (June: 3.7%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation ticked up to 4.4% in July from June’s 4.3%.
Finally, harmonized consumer prices increased 0.35% from the previous month in July, picking up from the 0.27% increase logged in June.
