Slovakia: Industrial output continues to decline in June
Latest reading: Industrial output decreased 3.5% in year-on-year terms in June (May: -4.1% yoy), marking the third consecutive month of contraction. June’s softer drop was due to a milder fall in manufacturing output. That said, energy production declined at a steeper pace, and mining output swung into contraction.
Similarly, industrial output fell 1.8% on a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis in June (May: -2.9% mom s.a.).
Meanwhile, annual average growth of industrial production was stable at May’s 0.3% in June.
