Serbia: Inflation falls to lowest level since June 2024 in April
Latest reading: Inflation came in at 4.0% in April, which was down from March’s 4.3%. April’s figure marked the weakest inflation rate since June 2024. The result was driven by a decline in transport prices and softer price pressures for hospitality.
In addition, the trend pointed down slightly, with annual average inflation coming in at 4.3% in April (March: 4.4%). Meanwhile, core inflation fell to 5.0% in April from March’s 5.1%.
Lastly, consumer prices rose 0.32% from the previous month in April, picking up from March’s 0.07% rise.
