Serbia: Inflation drops in March
Latest reading: Inflation came in at 4.3% in March, which was down from February’s 4.5%. Looking at the details of the release, prices for transportation and hospitality increased at a slower pace. On the flip side, prices food and housing and utilities prices rose at a speedier clip.
Annual average inflation was unchanged at February’s 4.4% in March. Meanwhile, core inflation fell to 5.1% in March from February’s 5.6%.
Finally, consumer prices rose 0.07% from the previous month in March, moderating from February’s 0.50% rise. March’s result marked the weakest reading since July 2023.
