Serbia: Industrial production rises in August
Industrial production grew 0.5% over the same month of the previous year in August, down from the 3.7% increase registered in July. August’s mild growth was driven by increases in the mining and quarrying, and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply sectors. Contrastingly, the manufacturing sector saw a fall in production.
On a month-on-month seasonally-adjusted basis, industrial production fell 1.8%, contrasting the 3.3% increase logged in July. Meanwhile, annual average industrial production fell 1.2% in August, although less than the dip of 1.6% seen in July.
