Serbia: Industrial production loses momentum in August
Latest reading: Industrial production was up 0.4% on a year-on-year basis in August, following 5.5% growth in the prior month and marking the lowest rate since February.
Relative to the previous month’s data, readings in August softened for manufacturing (-1.7% in annual terms vs +3.2% in July), mining and quarrying (+6.6% vs +12.9% in July) and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (+8.5% vs +14.5% in July).
On a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis, industrial production was down 2.9% in August, following 2.3% growth in the previous month.
