Serbia: Industrial output growth picks up pace in July
Latest reading: Industrial output expanded 5.5% compared to the same month of the previous year in July, which was above June’s 2.5% increase. The improvement was driven by stronger outturns in manufacturing production and in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply. That said, mining output rose at a slower pace.
Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average growth of industrial production coming in at 0.2%, down from June’s 0.3% reading. On a monthly basis, industrial production increased 1.8% in seasonally adjusted terms in July, which was above June’s 1.4% expansion and marked the best result since May 2024.
