Saudi Arabia: Inflation comes in at highest level since June 2021 in March

Consumer prices rose 0.27% in March over the previous month, largely in line with the 0.31% increase seen in February.

Inflation came in at 2.0% in March, up from February’s 1.6%. March's figure was the highest inflation rate since June 2021. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down slightly, with annual average inflation coming in at 2.2% in March (February: 2.4%).

FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast participants expect inflation to be 2.2% in 2022, which is up 0.2 percentage points from last month’s projection. The panel sees inflation averaging 2.0% in 2023.
