Qatar: Consumer prices record smallest fall since December 2024 in February
Latest reading: Consumer prices decreased 0.4% in annual terms in February, following January’s 1.1% year-on-year decrease. February’s result marked the smallest fall in consumer prices since December 2024. The rebound in price pressures was largely driven by a slower fall prices for food. In addition, price pressures for clothing rose at a stronger rate.
The trend pointed down, with annual average inflation coming in at 0.6% in February (January: 0.9%).
Finally, consumer prices increased 0.41% in February over the previous month, swinging from January’s 2.53% fall.
