Qatar: Inflation comes back in June
Latest reading: Inflation returned in June, with consumer prices rising 0.1% year on year and contrasting May’s 0.1% annual drop. Looking at the details of the release, the bounce back in price pressures was largely driven by a strong rebound in prices for food. In addition, price pressures for clothing, transport plus housing and utilities declined at slower rates.
Annual average inflation edged down to 0.3% in June (May: 0.4%).
Finally, consumer prices increased 0.06% in June over the previous month, swinging from the 0.10% drop recorded in May.
