Poland: Industrial output bounces back in July
Latest reading: Industrial output rose 2.9% in year-on-year terms in July, which contrasted June’s 0.4% decrease. Manufacturing output grew, improving from the prior month’s flat reading. Meanwhile, activity in the mining and quarrying and electricity, gas and utilities sub-sectors fell at a softer rate than in June.
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, factory output rebounded, rising 0.9% in July (June: -0.2% mom s.a.). Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average growth of industrial production coming in at 0.4% in July, down from June’s 1.2% reading.
