Poland: Industrial production loses momentum in August
Latest reading: Industrial production rose 0.7% in annual terms in August, following a 3.0% increase in the previous month.
Relative to the previous month’s data, production readings in August softened for manufacturing (+1.1% vs +3.4% in July) and electricity, gas and utilities (-6.7% vs -1.8% in July). In contrast, the reading for mining and quarrying improved in August (-2.1% vs -6.4% in July).
In seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms, industrial production fell 0.1% in August, following a 1.0% rise in the previous month.
