Panama: Economic growth slows in April
Latest reading: Economic activity increased 4.2% year on year in April (March: +7.9% yoy), marking the worst reading since September 2024. Agricultural, manufacturing and domestic trade activity contracted, while growth in the construction, hospitality and transport sectors improved.
That said, annual average economic activity growth rose to 4.9% in April (March: +4.8%), which marked an over one-year high.
