Netherlands: Harmonized inflation falls to lowest level since December 2023 in July
Latest reading: Harmonized inflation ticked down to 2.5% in July, from June’s 2.8%. July’s reading marked the lowest inflation rate since December 2023. The downtick was due to softer price growth for hospitality and recreation.
Accordingly, the trend pointed down mildly, with annual average harmonized inflation coming in at 3.3% in July (June: 3.4%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation edged down to 2.9% in July from the previous month’s 3.1%.
Lastly, harmonized consumer prices rose 0.99% over the previous month in July, swinging from the 0.01% drop seen in June.
