Netherlands: Industrial output rebounds in May
Latest reading: Industrial production rose 0.3% month on month in seasonally adjusted terms in May (April: -0.8% mom s.a.). The uptick was due to a rebound in manufacturing output. In contrast, mining and quarrying output fell markedly.
On an annual basis, industrial output rose at a quicker rate of 1.4% in May (April: +0.8% yoy). Accordingly, the trend improved, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 0.4%, up from April’s minus 0.7% reading.
