Lithuania: Harmonized inflation rises in June
Latest reading: Harmonized inflation ticked up to 3.2% in June, following May’s 3.0%. The uptick was due to rising prices for food and hospitality, as well as due to a renewed increase in transport prices following two consecutive months of decline.
The trend pointed up slightly, with annual average harmonized inflation coming in at 2.1% in June (May: 1.9%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation rose to 3.7% in June from the previous month’s 3.4%.
Lastly, harmonized consumer prices rose 0.21% from the previous month in June, contrasting May’s 0.28% fall.
