Lithuania: Harmonized inflation increases in July
Latest reading: Harmonized inflation ticked up to 3.4% in July from June’s 3.2%. Looking at the details of the release, prices for food, transport and recreation increased at a faster pace in July. Meanwhile, housing and utilities prices rose at a softer pace.
The trend pointed up slightly, with annual average harmonized inflation coming in at 2.3% in July (June: 2.1%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation ticked up to 3.8% in July from June’s 3.7%.
Finally, harmonized consumer prices rose 0.12% from the previous month in July, which was below June’s 0.21% rise.
