Lithuania: Harmonized inflation decreases in April
Latest reading: Harmonized inflation came in at 3.6% in April, down from March’s 3.7%. The downtick was chiefly due to a decline in transport costs which outweighed stronger price growth for food and non-alcoholic beverages, housing and utilities, hospitality, and recreation.
The trend pointed up, with annual average harmonized inflation coming in at 1.8% in April (March: 1.5%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation was unchanged, coming in at March’s 4.1% in April.
Lastly, harmonized consumer prices rose 0.21% in April over the previous month, coming in below March’s 0.41% increase. April’s result marked the weakest reading since December 2024.
