Lithuania: Industrial production falls in August
Latest reading: Industrial production was down 2.4% on a year-on-year basis in August, following a 1.8% rise in the previous month.
Relative to the previous month’s figures, production readings in August worsened for manufacturing (-2.7% in annual terms vs +1.7% in July), mining and quarrying (-14.1% vs -1.5% in July) and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning (+5.8% vs +6.8% in July).
In seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms, industrial production was up 2.1% in August, following a 1.6% fall in the previous month.
