Lithuania: Economic sentiment stabilizes in July
Latest reading: Economic sentiment came in at 101.5 in July, matching June’s reading. Consequently, the index remained above the long-term average of 100, pointing to a positive near-term outlook for the economy.
The headline print reflected improved sentiment in the industrial sector which largely offset weaker sentiment in the construction and retail sectors plus deteriorating confidence in the services sector and among consumers.
Relating to indicators that are not used to calculate the index, employment expectations were healthier, while the economic uncertainty index improved in July.
