Lithuania: Economic sentiment rises in June
Latest reading: Economic sentiment rose to 101.6 in June, up from May’s 101.3. Consequently, the index remained above the long-term average of 100, pointing to a positive near-term outlook for the economy.
The headline print reflected healthier confidence in the services sector in June, while sentiment in the retail sector deteriorated. Moreover, sentiment weakened in the industrial and construction sectors. Finally, consumer confidence softened in June.
Regarding indicators that are not used to calculate the index, employment expectations weakened, while the economic uncertainty index rose in June.
