Kuwait: Inflation drops to lowest level since September 2020 in April
Latest reading: Inflation came in at 2.3% in April, down from March’s 2.4%. April’s reading marked the lowest inflation rate since September 2020. The cooling of price pressures was due to more moderate price pressures for food, clothing and transport.
Accordingly, the trend pointed down slightly, with annual average inflation coming in at 2.6% in April (March: 2.7%).
Lastly, consumer prices increased 0.15% in April over the previous month, moderating from March’s 0.29% increase. April’s result marked the weakest reading since October 2024.
