Korea: Economic activity rises in June
Latest reading: Economic activity rebounded 1.2% in month-on-month seasonally adjusted terms in June (May: -1.1% mom s.a.), marking the best reading since December 2024. Looking at the details of the release, the bounce back was due to a recovery in the services sector. In addition, the industrial production and construction output returned to growth.
On an annual basis, economic activity rose 0.6% in June (May: -0.7% yoy). Meanwhile, annual average growth of economic activity was unchanged at May’s 0.2% in June.
