Kazakhstan: Industrial output speeds up in April
Industrial output rose 6.2% year-on-year in April (March: +5.9% yoy). Strong growth in the mining sector drove the uptick, while manufacturing production fell sharply amid the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown measures.
Accordingly, the trend improved with the annual average growth of industrial production coming in at 4.9% in April, up from March’s 4.5% reading.
