Kazakhstan: Industrial production slows in September
Latest reading: Industrial production rose 5.2% in annual terms in September, following a 12.8% rise in the prior month and marking the lowest rate since January.
Relative to the prior month’s figures, readings in September softened for manufacturing (+4.1% in annual terms vs +9.3% in August), mining and quarrying (+6.8% vs +17.5% in August), electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (+3.0% vs +3.4% in August) and water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities (-10.6% vs -0.5% in August).
Meanwhile, the trend improved, with annual average industrial production growth rising to 6.0% in September (August: +5.8%).
