Italy Consumer Confidence March 2021

Italy: Consumer confidence weakens in March

March 26, 2021

The consumer confidence index dropped to 100.9 in March, from 101.4 in February, which had marked a five-month high.

March’s reading largely reflected a weakening in the economic and current climate subindexes. Moreover, the personal and future climate subindexes also deteriorated from the previous month.

Panelists project private consumption to increase 4.0% in 2021, which is down 0.6 percentage points from last month’s forecast. For 2022, panelists see private consumption growing 4.4%.
