Israel: Consumer and business sentiment improve in September

Confidence among Israeli households improved from minus 10 in August to minus 9 in September. The uptick in sentiment was driven by a more upbeat outlook regarding the general economy and households’ own economic situation.

Meanwhile, business sentiment increased from 24 in August to 26 in September, likely supported by robust domestic activity.

FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists expect private consumption to grow 3.7% in 2019 and 3.3% in 2020. Our panelists see fixed investment expanding 3.7% in 2019 and 2.5% in 2020.
