Ireland: Harmonized inflation steadies in July
Latest reading: Harmonized inflation was stable at June’s 1.6% in July. Looking at the details of the release, prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages rose at a faster rate in July, but prices for transportation decreased at a quicker rate. Meanwhile, prices for recreation grew at a more subdued pace.
Annual average harmonized inflation remained at June’s 1.2% in July. Meanwhile, consumer price inflation fell to 1.7% in July from the previous month’s 1.8%.
Finally, harmonized consumer prices increased 0.16% from the previous month in July, which was below June’s 0.49% rise.
