Hungary: Industrial production falls at faster clip in August
Latest reading:    Industrial production was down 4.7% in annual terms in August, following a 0.9% decline in the prior month.
Relative to the prior month’s data, readings in August worsened for manufacturing (-4.5% on a year-on-year basis vs -0.6% in July) and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning (-8.1% vs -6.2% in July). In contrast, mining and quarrying output declined less sharply in August (-6.3% vs -8.3% in July).
On a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis, industrial production declined 2.3% in August, following a 1.8% rise in the previous month.
