Guatemala: Inflation drops to lowest level since December 2020 in April

Consumer prices increased 0.11% in April over the previous month, below March's 0.33% increase. April's result marked the softest rise in prices since December 2020.

Inflation came in at 5.2% in April below March’s 5.8%. April's figure marked the weakest inflation rate since December 2020. Annual average inflation rose to 4.5% in April (March: 4.2%).

FocusEconomics panelists see inflation ending 2020 at 3.4%. For 2021, our panelists expect inflation to end the year at 3.7%.
