Guatemala: Inflation ticks up in June
Latest reading: Inflation rose from May’s 1.7% to 1.8% in June. The result was driven by a faster rise in housing and utility costs plus a slower fall in transport costs. That said, price pressures for food plus clothing and footwear moderated.
The trend pointed down slightly, with annual average inflation coming in at 2.0% in June (May: 2.1%).
Finally, consumer prices increased 0.25% over the previous month in June, mirroring May’s reading.
