Guatemala: Growth in economic activity eases in November

Growth in economic activity eased to 3.4% in November from 3.7% in October. The print was driven by robust activity in the commerce and vehicle repair; manufacturing; real estate; financial services; and agricultural sectors.

On the other hand, annual average growth in economic activity was stable at October’s 3.5% in November.

Banguat expects growth of between 3.0%–4.0% in 2020. FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists see growth of 3.1% in 2020, which is unchanged from last month’s forecast. For 2021, our panelists predict growth to accelerate to 3.4%.
